Depending on the institution, entry to the BSc in Agriculture is determined by merit or by an entrance exam.
Merit-based admission:
- Candidates must have passed Class 12 with at least 50% marks in aggregate for General, OBC, and UPS categories, and 40% marks for SC, ST, and PC categories.
- Candidates must have studied and passed the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) or Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics (BCM) in Class 12.
Entrance exam-based admission:
- Candidates must appear for the ICAR AIEEA (UG) exam, which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).
- Some states also conduct their own entrance exams for BSc Agriculture admission, such as the AP EAMCET and the Telangana EAMCET.
Admission process:
- Apply for the BSc Agriculture program at the desired institutes.
- Appear for the entrance exam (if applicable).
- Check the results and rank card.
- Participate in the counselling process.
- Get allotted a seat in an institute.
- Deposit the admission fee and complete the admission formalities.
